Yes Debby, the Replacement Hitch Arm Assembly for Thule Coaster and Coaster XT Bike Trailers # TH52WV is a replacement arm for the Bike Trailer Conversion Kit # TH20100506 which is a fit for the Thule Chariot Cheetah XT 1 and 2 as long as it's not older than 2005.

The end of the Replacement Hitch Arm Assembly for Thule Chariot Cross, Lite, and Sport Bike Trailer/Stroller #TH23XH has a triangular end. Like you said, since the parts have been discontinued this is not confirmed to work but it's worth a shot.
