Does the app for this controller have to be constantly running in the foreground of an Ios? I utilize CarPlay while driving, will that app interfere with the controller? Thanks, Gary

Hey Gary, when using the Curt Echo Override Button part # C83HR and a Curt Echo part # C51180 your phone actually does not need to be interfaced with at all. The connection is between the controller and the button so your phone can be doing anything else and it will still work.
