Note:
Towing can be brutal, especially when your setup is outfitted with standard, metal-on-metal components. Steel and aluminum can only absorb so much vibration and chucking, so every time you hit a bump in the road, that shock gets transferred to the rest of your rig, leaving it vulnerable to wear and tear. Another unfortunate side effect is an uncomfortable ride for you and your passengers.
Protect your truck and trailer from road shock, vibrations, and rattling - and stay comfortable while you drive - with the shock-absorbing Curt RockerBall hitch ball.
The RockerBall hitch ball features Curt's innovative ShockDrop technology, which is engineered to suppress vibrations and rattling while you're towing. When you hit a bump, the ball compresses around the flexible, polyurethane core. This durable material absorbs excess shock at the coupling point so that it doesn't transfer from the truck to your trailer or vice versa. The result is increased control and comfort as you tow, as well as less wear and tear on your towing setup.
This hitch ball is built to last with its forged steel construction and durable powder coat finish. The flexible, shock-absorbing polyurethane core withstands extreme heat for long-lasting performance, and the chrome-plated ball resists corrosion.
The built-in zerk allows you to lubricate the isolator core when necessary, ensuring quiet and trouble-free operation.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking together at our Curt RockerBall Shock-Absorbing two-inch Hitch Ball. It features a one-inch shank diameter and it is a chrome finish and it's rated at 7,500 pounds capacity. So folks, as you know, the hitch ball provides a connection point for your trailer's coupler and this does fit most existing ball mounts. Again, a one-inch shank diameter.
And from the start, you can see you have a grease zerk down there that's for greasing everything up. That way, it can pivot nice and smooth. And then, of course, you have the lock washer and you have this plate here that's gonna go around the front side of the shank and help hold it, that way, it doesn't spin once you get everything nice and tight. And then, of course, it can pivot here side to side, much like the image I'm gonna throw up on the screen there for you, whenever this is being used. So this cushion isolators inside of there reduce rattling and vibrations, gives you a more comfortable ride, and reduces the shock loads to the vehicle during sudden braking and acceleration.
So all this is gonna work together to minimize stress on the tow vehicle suspension and brakes, extending the longevity and the lifetime of those. Now, the fine threads here provide a tight, strong grip whenever everything's installed correctly. And it does come with instructions and everything, so make sure you're torquing it down to the correct torque specs found in the instructions. Everything here that you see black is a carbide black powder coat finish. And again, the ball is a chrome-resistant finish.
So this is literally virtually maintenance-free with the exception of the grease zerk on the bottom. Grease it up maybe once a year or so. Follow the instruction for that as well. And this has been tested to meet all SAE safety standards. And again, it's a two-inch ball rated at 7,500 pounds capacity.
Folks, that will wrap up our quick look together. I'm Steven. Thanks for joining me.

I could not use on the hitch I pull camper. It was to wide! Hope to give it to someone who can
Excellent Item! Will buy again.
Product worked great. Makes you forget that you are pulling a trailer behind you, from a noise standpoint. Highly recommended.
Received product before due date however, both our WD Hitches do not have the standard piece to allow the Anti-Rotation Plate to be useful. Pictures attached.
Checking with etrailer to see what can be done before modifying either the ball or the hitches. Only other issue was packaging, it was well packed on bottom side but not on top which allowed the product to distort the box it was shipped in but it did come fully in tact with no visible harm. Mentioning this for future delivery of such items.
Stops bumping in truck as you stop v
It's really good so far
Smooths and quiets tow vehicle ride, but ball rusts quickly and significantly.
I bought this for function not asthetics, so Im glad I bought it, but took one star away for the rust. Wish it was made of stainless steel like other premium hitch balls.
Fitment was ok. It does not sit flat against the hitch mounting surface when installed.
I just purchased a new hideaway hitch system. But the hitch sits only 15 inches off the ground at best. And, my trailer coupling is 22-23 inches off ground. So l needed 7-8 inches of rise on the new 1.25 inch receiver system.
Internet research took me to etrailer and the Brophy hitch. I got 5.5 inches with the Brophy hitch, the highest available for a 1.25 inch receiver I could find. The others are limited to 5 inches max. I added another 1.5 inches with your Curt shock absorbing hitch. Voila, with a combined 7 inches of rise and on level ground the trailer now rides perfectly level!!!! Both parts were very easy to connect.
Delivery was speedy. Thank you for saving the day and my investment in an expensive new hideaway hitch!
I was in the market.
Looking for some kind of dampening hitch.
But all the hitches I found We're over $300. I stumbled upon the Curt rocker ball . It was interesting to me so I had looked up some reviews on it. There wasn't any good reviews on it, but there also wasn't any bad reviews either.
So I decided to give it a shot,
Since it was pretty Inexpensive. Since then, I've had it for a year and a 1/2 now And it's been amazing.something so simple,That works very well. You won't notice it as much if the trailer already tows very well But the trailers that do a lot of jerking You will feel the difference.
A night and day difference.to me it reduced it by By 80%. Very good product!
Total junk. The mounting plate, which is supposed to keep the rocker ball parallel to the tow vehicle, is way too wide for the two different hitches I tried. When tightening the locking nut, the hitch ball turns significantly out of parallel alignment. But worse, when I attempted to torque the shank nut to the specified 250' lb., the retainer plate bent, and I was not able to tighten the ball per the specification
my rockerball rocks
I ordered this due to a video "Playing with Sticks" by Drew. The ordering, shipping, and delivery was prompt. I have not used the product yet so I have no feedback on that. Once I have used it I will addendum the product.
So far it’s perfect for my needs. It is light weight and sticks out just past my spare tire on Bronco.
I really like this. The additional height is just right to provide excellent weight distribution and prevents the jarring impact of the road, stopping and starting. I add grease regularly to maintain function.
This hitch ball works great no slamming back & forth when stopping are starting. Just the right height for my F150 with a 4 inch curt drop receiver. I would definitely purchased again. Ran it with an unloaded trailer & a trailer with weight around 2500 lb. You want be disappointed in the purchase.
Great addition to any hitch, cushions the bumps, especially in glorious stop and go traffic on memorial day!
I didn't know what i was missing with this rocker ball from Curt. It has proven to provide a smoother towing experience!
I would most definitely, not recommend this product at all. Not blaming the seller, as they took it back, and I just got a solid ball from them instead. Pulling a 26’ cargo trailer, (nothing extremely heavy), the rocking ball would violently, “slam back” while taking off from a stoplight, and would violently “slam forward” when stopping for one. Literally thought the ball was going to snap off, it slammed so hard.
This was exactly what was needed to secure the trailering of my teardrop. I could tell from the moment I pulled forward after the first opportunity to use this was a big improvement in towing. The movement on the ball is no longer there. Plus, it raised the trailer hitch exactly where I needed it and there is no longer that slight dip in the front of the camper. I am very pleased with this Rockerball. But the person packaging for Etrailer needs retrained. Our package was a week late in delivery and when it arrived the padded envelope this heavy ball was packaged in was torn in many places. Etrailer is not able to track a package beyond the info sent in the email. I did have to call to get shipping/tracking information. That was not automatically sent to me.
The excess movement from my trailer was eliminated. Excellent product
Looks well made. Only time will tell. Excellent experience with etrailer.
Has very good quality and nice appearance and offer some good features for preventing a hard hitching situations!

Barb, that is such a cool setup, I love that retro trailer. It’s got such a classic look to it, and it sounds like you’ve got it dialed in perfectly now. Really glad to hear the RockerBall made that noticeable difference right away. Getting rid of that movement and leveling things out makes towing feel so much better. I’m sorry to hear about the packaging and shipping experience though, that’s definitely not how we want it to arrive. Sometimes USPS is hard on our packages :( That trailer is awesome, what kind of trailer is it?
