Hey Frank, thanks for reaching out!
The difference between the TowSmart Trailer Hitch Receiver # TS22VR and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C84BR is the tow ratings:
TowSmart
4,500 lbs towing
675 lbs tongue
Curt
4,000 lbs towing
600 lbs tongue
According to my research your 2024 Ford Maverick can only handle up to 4,000 lbs towing so there won't really be much of an advantage with the TowSmart higher ratings. But with that being said, I do like to have a little bit of cushion when it comes to what the equipment can handle so I recommend the TowSmart in this instance.
Since this is a truck and you probably plan on towing, I recommend installing the Curt T-Connector Wiring # C59DR while you're at it so you at least have a 4-Way for trailer lights.
If you don't already have a ball mount, then I highly recommend the etrailer Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # e66PR because of the wide range of adjustment. I'm a pretty harsh judge on products, especially when it comes to the etrailer brand, and this is one product that I was really impressed with when our team came out with it.
Attached are some installation videos for you to check out!
