Features to know about

Installs Without Cutting or Splicing: Plug-In T-Connector Harness

Wiring a trailer can be tricky if you have to cut into factory wires, but this harness skips all that. The Curt T-Connector plugs in behind the tail lights for a true plug-and-play install. No splicing or guessing at wire colors—just connect the factory plugs and you’re ready to power your trailer lights.

Protects Vehicle Circuits: Powered Converter Module

This harness uses a powered converter that pulls power straight from the vehicle’s battery instead of the tail light circuits. That keeps the factory wiring safe if the trailer ever shorts out or draws too much power. The converter isolates the trailer load so your vehicle’s fuses and electronics stay protected.

Works Great with LED Trailer Lights: 4-Flat Connector Output

The 4-flat connector supplies stop, turn, and running light signals that work perfectly with trailers using LED taillights. The Curt T-Connector # C59DR is built to handle up to 5 amps per stop/turn circuit and 7.5 amps for running lights, so it runs standard or LED lighting reliably trip after trip.

Draws Power the Right Way: Direct-to-Battery Lead

Rather than trying to tap into auxiliary or in-bed power ports, this kit includes a dedicated power wire designed to run to the battery. That direct connection gives the converter a steady 12-volt supply for proper operation and ensures you won’t overload any factory accessory circuits. It’s a bit of routing work up front but gives long-term peace of mind knowing it’s done right.

Ready for Everyday Towing: Standard 4-Pole Trailer Connection

Once installed, the 4-pole flat connector gives you everything needed for basic trailer lighting—running, brake, and turn signals. It’s the common setup for small utility trailers, cargo haulers, and boat trailers, making this harness a simple and dependable way to get your lights working every time you hitch up.

It worked exactly like it was advertised. I could not find at Ford but I found it here at etrailer. Very informative people to talk to and WANT To Help, I've found this to be the case with other products purchased from etrailer. (ETAILER Company)You have a great staff, keep doing what you are doing and you will continue to be Successful.

Ford installed my shell but could not wire third brake light. It has a 4pin but if I used that, it turned off the blindspot sensors. I found this at E-Trailer. It worked perfectly. I didn't need the trailer parts and just used the jumper/pigtails.

by:

This is a great product, worked out excellent. Contrary to the instructions I connected it to the vehicle flexbed 12 volt source and that really simplified installation. With some purchased flexbed connectors the final assembly was all plug and play.

by:

Lauren was on top of every question I had from the beginning to the door, Great Customer Service.

Combined with e-Trailers installation videos this harness was the perfect choice for my Ford Maverick. Installation was straight forward and all the necessary pieces were included.

Easy install for 2024 Maverick hybrid

by:

Installed yesterday. Only issue with the install on our 22 Maverick Lariat was how to route the power lead to the battery in the engine compartment. Finally removed drivers side fasteners holding the fiber mat that encloses the entire underside and routed the wire behind the tail light, above the mat and then fished it into the engine compartment from behind the front wheel well. Everything seems to work fine so far, but a more complex install than anticipated due to fiber mat. Love the fact that no wires had to be cut/spliced and harness is completely isolated from vehicle electrical system.

@Jim We're glad to hear that!

by:

The connector plugs have alignment guides that don't fit to the 2025 maverick taillight connectors. Had to shave them off for them to be able to connect together. You have to be creative when routing the wiring. I lowered the spare tire and removed the box on the right side under the taillight. The wire to the engine compartment wasn't fun either. The install took about 3 hours with no help.

by:

Good overall product. Hitch install went well. Instructions were good and the video on the website was also helpful. The hitch trailer wiring was a pain, the instructions were not great but the video on the website was good. The install time was quick regarding the hitch but the wiring took much longer than anticipated, hours.

by:

Works as advertised … install went well, instructions were good

So far so good ... zero problems.

by:

Not your fault but it doesn’t fit my 2025 hybrid.

by:

Easy to install in 2024 Maverick. Plug and play with existing harness and just need to run a 12v hot write to the unit.

A year later, and no issues with the wiring harness after about 10k towing and another 10k driving

by:

Easy enough to install. I used a bunch more zip ties than came with the product, but that's the only downside.

by:

Hitch does take more time to install on ford Maverick but everything I needed was supplied and fell comfortable with giving a good recommendation to potential buyers.

by:

Easy to install and the video made it even easier.

by:

The harness was pretty easy to install. Everything I needed was included except for a nut to go on the positive post. The harness works as it should and I don’t have any issues

by:

I’m actually impressed due to I’ve done a wiring job when I was 15 years old with my stepdad on a 1973 Chevy pickup truck and we had to piece together the wire and use a lot of black electrical tape!!!!

by:

This harness, according to the manufacturer, is NOT compatible with the Maverick XLT Hybrid despite the package states it does. Extra components are needed to make it work properly. I will be requesting a exchange / refund. Nothing against eTrailer. They don't make the parts. They just sell them. Now we all know.

  • Wiring and Connectors to Power 2025 Ford Maverick Truck Cap 3rd Brake Light
Hey Geroge! You can use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C59DR, but you'll also need an adapter that separates out the stop signal from your turn signals. The 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 is a great tool to use for this, but you could also just use this logic module directly without having to use the T-Connector kit. I also recommend checking the back side of your 4-Way/7-Way connector. If it has the USCAR connection then you can use this plug and play wiring #...

  • Need 4-Flat Wiring Harness For 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid
Hey Robert, thanks for reaching out. Does your tailgate light hook up to a standard 4-flat trailer connector? If so, we do have a 4-flat harness that will fit your 2025 Ford Maverick Hybrid. The fit will just depend what kind of taillights you have so please check that and select from the following: - Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C29PQ (for vehicles with non-LED lights) - Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector...

  • Troubleshooting Hyperflash Blinker 2025 Ford Maverick After Trailer Wiring Install
Hey Dalton, the trailer wiring harness installs are not known to cause hyperflashing unless maybe something was installed wrong. Does the trailer wiring actually function too? I would check to make sure you have the fuse installed in the harness and maybe disconnect and reconnect the connectors of the harness as that might clear out any issues with the harness.

  • Will Curt Hitch Fit 2025 Ford Maverick XL Hybrid With Full Size Spare
Hi Glenn! The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C84BR will fit your 2025 Maverick XL with a full size spare. Curt tests for this and always calls it out in their fitment if the hitch isn't compatible with the spare. Since they list the hitch as a fit for all models without that note you can be confident it will work for your setup. What will you be using the hitch for?

  • Can Curt T-Connector Still be Installed if a 2024 Ford Maverick Has the Factory Tow Package?
Hey Bill, thanks for reaching out! Yes, you can still install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C59DR even if your 2024 Ford Maverick has the factory tow package. This wiring tees in behind the tail lights and then pulls power straight from the battery with the black wire so it will be a separate system from your tow package. Are you using this to get the lights working on something like a truck topper?

  • Recommended 4-Way Connector Add-On for LED Tail Light Strip on 2022 Ford Maverick
I recommend picking up the Curt T-Connector # C59DR which tees in behind the tail lights on your 2022 Ford Maverick but has a power lead you run to the battery so the 4-Way connector is pulling power straight from the battery as opposed to potentially overloading the OEM wiring circuits. This is a much safer option to splicing in connections because we aren't cutting into the factory wiring, the power is being pulled from the battery so the OEM circuits are unaffected, and the black module...

To wrap up your towing setup you'll also need the Curt T-Connector # C59DR and then I recommend picking up the etrailer Adjustable Ball Mount # e66PR. • Can You Hook Power Wire Up From Curt Harness to In-Bed 12 Volt on 2022 Ford Maverick
We get this question a lot but unfortunately our answer is always the same, you must run a wire all the way up to the battery when installing a trailer wiring harness like the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C59DR. The reason for this has to do with the rating of the circuit, the in-bed power source may not be rated for the full power requirements of the converter which could trip the fuse or increase a chance for fires. • Why Does Curt Wiring Power Lead Need to Run to Battery on 2022 Ford Maverick
The 12V power lead for any wiring kit, including the Curt T-Connector # C59DR for your 2022 Ford Maverick, will potentially need more power than a 12V socket will be able to provide. The whole point of having a separate power and module in a kit like this is to prevent the trailer wiring from having an affect on the OEM wiring for your tow vehicle. If the trailer were to pull enough power that the fuse on your Maverick was overloaded and blew then that means your trailer lights will be...

Howard, I totally get what you’re running into here, and you’re not alone, this is a common headache on newer Mavericks with BLIS. The issue isn’t the light bar itself, it’s that anything plugged into the trailer connector tells the truck a trailer is attached, which is why you’re getting warnings and seeing BLIS shut off. Even a powered harness like the Curt part # C59DR still creates a 4-way trailer plug, so as soon as your light bar is connected there, the truck reacts the same way. The...

  • Why Does Trailer Wiring for 2023 Ford Maverick Require Running Wire to Battery
Newer vehicles have much more delicate taillight circuits than older vehicles which is why they can't handle powering additional trailer taillight circuits. This is why the harnesses that fit your Maverick like the # 119147KIT require running the power wire up to the vehicle battery. So what this does is use your taillight circuits as signal wires and then draws the power for the lights from the battery instead protecting the taillights.

While this is less than 20 amps we still have to recommend you run the power wire for this kit up to the battery of the vehicle and not use any aux circuits.
