Bike Rack Solution for when Towing A-Frame Trailer that Holds Bikes Above Jack

Published 04/09/2025

Question:

question about bike racks. I have a bed rack on my truck and I can mount bike racks to it. But Im not entire sure I want my bike that high when traveling. I already have a hitch rack, but that gets annoying with a double hitch adapter while towing my pop-up tent trailer. do they make a platform type bike rack that bolts to a trailer tounge? but is able to either fold out of the way so I can slide a bunk end out or just clamps on so I can remove it in a matter of seconds?

Hey Jeff, it sounds like what you are looking for is the Lets Go Aero Jack-It PLUS part # LGA47ZR. This attaches underneath the jack mounting bracket on your a-frame jack and allows you to carry your bikes above the jack. It also is removable so you could take it off as needed. Would this work for you or would you prefer something different?

My trailer comes with a swing away jack. that won't work for my trailer.

@JeffL What are the dimensions of the frame? We have a camping trailer here and someone attached a bolt on hitch to the frame channel so they could mount a bike rack in it.
