I have a Demco 8550034, 18K for above bed mounting. Can I add the Demco DM99GV adapter for puck install?

Hey John! Yes, your Demco Autoslide # DM8550034 can be converted to fit your 2024 Ram 3500 prep package using the Replacement Side Plates for Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # DM99GV. All you need to do is swap out the ISR adapter plates with the new side plates on your current hitch. Do you have any big summer plans with your 5th wheel?

Had a problem when I tried to slide my hitch into the capture plate. Problem was I did not have the opening set wide enough. Had to move the Demco side plates all of the way out and remove the big adjustment bolts from the side plates. Then I was able to access and tighten the adapter plates Allen bolts through the hole that once had the adjustment bolts. Once I got the Allen bolts tight, I replaced the adjustment bolts and everything was fine. But my plates are ALL THE WAY OUT. This is not a problem, in fact everything works perfectly. Just did not realize that I would have to move those plates all of the way out.
