Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2005 Honda Element
Updated 10/22/2025 | Published 04/02/2025 >
Question:
I have a 2005 Honda element I need a trailer hitch and wiring harness for. It has a connector in the spare tire wheel well if that’s helpful. Please provide me with the hitch and harness I would need to tow a trailer. Thank you

Hey Todd, for a hitch that fits your 2005 Honda Element our Draw Tite part # 75659 would be the best option because it has great towing capacities and also has the easiest/shortest install. Then for trailer wiring the Hopkins kit part # HM48925 would work really well and is also priced the best. What will you be towing?
We don't have any trailer wiring that would plug into a port at the rear of your vehicle though.

Hey Todd, how did things go with the Draw-Tite hitch and Hopkins wiring on your Honda Element? Did they end up working well for your trailer setup? Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same vehicle.
