Hey Richard, thanks for reaching out!
In order to add a brake controller to your 2025 Subaru Ascent you'll need a 4-Way, like the T-One # 118790, and the Universal Wiring Upgrade Kit # ETBC7. From there we can add a brake controller to the mix, and for that I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED52VR. I really like this controller because the control part can install basically anywhere, and it takes up hardly any space on your dash so you get a really professional look.
