I wish to tow a 1997 Jeep Cherokee behind an RV. Is there a simple pigtail connector for the lights?

Hello Robert, thanks for reaching out. We do offer flat tow wiring options for the 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. There are no plug and play pigtail options though.

What I recommend is the Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267. This does require splicing in diodes behind the tail lights and running wires up to a 6-pin plug at the front of the Jeep. This is my preferred method because it is safe to add to virtually any vehicle, and once you are done all you have to plug in your electrical cord and you are ready to go.

If you want to avoid any wire splicing, you could do a magnetic tow light set like the Universal Magnetic Tow Lights # PE26UR. This simply plugs in to a 4-flat connector on your RV then the magnetic lights can mount on the roof. So no splicing but you do have to set them up and take them down every time you tow. Whereas the diode kit is more permanent and convenient so that is definitely what I recommend.

Take a look at the install videos I linked below. Leave a reply with any other questions or comments and I am happy to get back to you.
