What Wiring Harness do I Need for My 2015 Ford Flex with Factory Tow Package?

Hello, I’m looking at wire harnesses for a 2015 flex. Our car came from the factory with the factory tow package. Before we bought the car however someone has messed with the factory wiring and so the tow harness does not function. Can I just buy a plug and play harness such as the tekonsha or do I have to have one with the converter and what is the purpose of the converter if I can simply buy a plug and play one that will function properly? Thank you

Hello Brandon,
I am sorry to hear that the person before you screwed up the wiring, very frustrating. Since your 2015 Ford Flex has the factory tow package you are going to want the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55384, this is going to give you a 4 flat on the vehicle. For a 7 way and 4 flat you will want Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way and 4-Pole Flat Connectors # C55774.
