TorkLift Tie Downs For Slide-In Camper on 2008 Toyota Tundra with 8 Foot Bed

Updated 10/27/2025 | Published 03/11/2025

Question:

Good morning I have a 2008 double cab Tundra with an 8 foot bed and no running boards. I want to put a slide in camper Lance 650 in the bed and need to purchase a tie down kit. I have heard that Torklift tie downs are the best but when I look on your site I cannot find one set of tie downs for both front and back. I might be looking in the wrong place. Do I need to buy a separate kit for front and rear or is there one kit that will provide for both. Thank you. Tom C

Hey Thomas, we've got you covered. And I agree about TorkLift - they are always what I recommend as long as they're available for the truck.

I'm not sure what the hitch situation is on your Tundra, but if you have the factory unit, you'll just need the TorkLift part # TL84VV. This is a complete kit that includes both the front and rear set.

If you happen to have an aftermarket hitch installed on your truck, you'd just need part # TL75VV instead. This again includes both front and rear tie-downs.

Let me know if you have any other questions or need anything else. The Lance 650 is a really nice setup. Where we heading next with it?

Hey Tom, how did things go with the TorkLift tie-down kit for your Tundra and Lance 650 setup? Your experience could point others in the right direction when choosing between the factory and aftermarket hitch options.
