Question:
What is the mil thickness of the Alpha membrane compared to all the other products on the market? Is it better than the PVC that you also handle? How do either of them handle the cold winter temperatures in the midwest?

Hey Bruce! The Alpha Systems Superflex TPO RV Roof Membrane item # AL65CV has a 30 mil thickness or 0.03". It is 10% thicker than pvc roofing and is twice as strong when it comes to resisting tears. Additionally, it's lighter and quite a bit easier to install. A PVC membrane is more energy efficient. I recommend the TPO due to the increased strength, which means less maintenance. It's going to stand up better than PVC with the heat and cold swings in the Midwest.
You will also need the Alpha Systems RV Roof Replacement Installation Kit item # AL74UV to install and seal the membrane on your roof.

Hey Bruce, how did the Alpha TPO roof membrane hold up through the Midwest winter? Your experience could point others toward the best choice between TPO and PVC for cold-weather use.
