Question:
I have a 2014 full body paint cardinal RL3850 39 I have roof damage at the rear air unit that I need to repair. The rest of the roof appears to be ok. Is it possible / advisable to replace the membrane from just in front of the bad spot, to the rear aprox. 8 and create a seam, with the existing membrame overlapping 6-10inch over the new membrame? Or do I have to replace the entire roof with one peice?

After speaking with out expert install team I would NOT recommend patching or replacing only part of the membrane. It will just set you up for future leaks and other problems where the seam will be. Since you will have to remove the trim around the unit to fix it anyway, it would be wise to just replace all of it.
I'd rather do the job once and not have to redo it again for a long time.
