Can etrailer Swivel Jack be Install to Angle Iron on Homemade Trailer?

I have a homemade trailer with an angle iron frame. Is it safe to mount this jack on angle iron?

Hey Robrt, thanks for reaching out!

Yes, the etrailer Swivel Jack w/ Bolt-On Mounting Plate # e22ZV can be installed on angle iron, but I do recommend beefing up that attachment point a little instead of just running 2 bolts through it and calling it a day. Even welding the bracket into place will help to keep everything in place better than the bolts.

Is this a pretty small trailer?

Hey Steve, is the height from the bottom of the mounting plate? If so, then I think the Fulton #FTJ120W0301 would work for what you are looking for as it has the shorter height below the mount and has a wheel caster.

Hey Frank, the radius for the handle of the etrailer jack part #e22ZV is 8-1/8 inches. That means it sticks out 8-1/8 inches from where it attaches to the jack. From the center of the jack mount to the top of the jack measures 7.5 inches.
