Curt 5th Wheel Sliding Base to Fit with A16 Hitch Head on a 2024 Ram 3500 Puck System

Question:

I currently own a curt A16 hitch with puck attachment for my ram3500 short bed. I’m getting a new trailer and need to purchase just the roller arrangement that will work with this setup. I believe what I need is the curt r20 roller 16550. Do you see this as the only part I need to convert to a roller set up and do you sell it as I can’t seem to find it in your website.

Hey Dennis, thanks for reaching out!

The Curt R20 16550 would be the correct replacement roller section for you, but Curt actually has replaced is with the S20 Slider # C63DR so you'll need this one instead. It is compatible with the older and newer Curt puck system adapters that fit your 2024 Ram 3500.

Hi Jon Just realized I have puck base 16021 with the A16 head it seems as though the S20 slider does not work with the base I have. Is there anyway to use a slider with the 16021 puck system? Thanks again.

@DennisS Ah, I thought you meant you had the Curt Adapter # C16022 or Adapter # C29BR. These are what you'd need in order to use the S20 and your Curt A16 hitch head. For your setup I recommend picking up the S20 Slider # C63DR and Adapter # C29BR since it has a better warranty (limited lifetime).
