Question:
I am installing a new Demco Duo Stay and Play in a 24 Wrangler with manual trans. I need to drill a hole through the firewall because the hole used in th eonline installation videos is used by the clutch assembly on a manual Wrangler . Do you have any guidance or drawing to show where it is safe to drill this hole.

Hey Robert welcome back! We don't have any drawing or diagrams. I attached a screenshot below from the instructions for the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo item # DM86VR. They're pretty vague but the main thing they stress is to avoid wiring, which seems like common sense. I would just try to find an empty spot close to the clutch assembly you can comfortably and confidently drill through.

Thanks for response Jerred : it turns out there is a second hole in the firewall just four inches below the large hole use by the clutch cylinder . This hole is about 5/8” in diam and has a small rubber plug in it. I removed this plug and pushed an awl through the hole to see where it went . It came through the firewall and pierced a plastic sheet which is covering rhe firewall at that point. I used a utility knife to open the rubber sheet a bit and was able to push the brake actuator tubing and the sensor wiring through the resultant hole . I then took the rubber plug and used a soldering iron to melt a hole in the middle to create a grommet. This worked well!
