Question:

For a Ram 3500 would you recommend these vs airbags - hitch weight of our fifth wheel is 2900lbs. I experience minimal sag currently and would like to eliminate what I currently experience.

Hello Doug, thanks for reaching out. The Hellwig Contact Helper Spring # HE29SR is a great option for your 2024 Ram 3500. It basically adds a spring to the overload pack so your springs will activate quicker and keep the rear from sagging as much under a load. Theses obviously do not have the same adjustability as air bags, but they will be much easier to install. If you are looking for an easy add on to beef up the suspension, the Hellwig will do great.

If you intend to tow multiple different trailers with different loads, an aid bag kit like the Firestone # F2615 would be a better option. This allows you to fine tune your suspension to find that sweet spot between load support and ride quality.

Since you say you have minimal sagging, I believe the Hellwig # HE29SR will give you the results you are looking for.
