Question:

I bought a blue ox patriot 3 brake control. I have a break away switch but it was set up for a brake buddy. I need the pin end of the break away switch wiring that plugs into the patriot and I need a wiring diagram for the break away. Im not sure if its a hot wire through the switch or if it is unpowered and the switch is energized from within the patriot 3? Can you give me any help

It sounds like you are looking for the replacement breakaway power cord for the Blue Ox Patriot which we offer with the part # BLU99UR. Or if you wanted the entire breakaway setup you'd want the part # BRK2505.

I don't have a diagram but the red wire of the switch has 12 volts and the white wire is ground. When the pin is pulled the circuit is then complete.
