What is Difference Between Diode Dynamics C1 and C1R Pod LED Hitch Lights

I have watched the video and read through all the info on the C1 and C1R Hitch lights. I still do not know what the difference is. They seem to do the exact same thing but one is half the cost.

Hey Alex, this is a great question but basically the C1 Pod Hitch light part # DDY37QB only has a running light and a reverse light function whereas the part # DDY87QB also has a brake light. The price jump is pretty extreme I would agree but this is why it is the way it is.
So the C1R has two brightness intensities for the red light. A lower running light color and a brighter stoplight.
