Hello Melvin, I can definitely help with this. For a travel trailer, the best option will be to switch over to electric-over-hydraulic disc brakes. You will need a hub/rotor kit, EOH actuator kit and brake line kit. For a 5,200 lb axle, here is what I recommend:
- Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 12" Hub/Rotor - 6 on 5-1/2 - Dacromet - 5,200 lbs to 6,000 lbs # K2HR526D
- Bearing Kit for Trailer Brakes with 12" Hub/Rotor - 5,200 lbs to 6,000 lbs # DBRKHW6
- Hydrastar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator w/ Line Kit for Disc Brakes - 1,600 psi # CAR-HBA16-2
- etrailer Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box and RV Style Connector # e99011
A few things. The brake line kit comes with a 15' main line, so please confirm this is a good length for your travel trailer. Also, you will need to make sure the brake controller in your tow vehicle is compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes. Most aftermarket brake controllers are OEH compatible, but certain OEM controllers may not be compatible. What brake controller do you have?
Take a look at the article I linked below. It goes over the process of adding EOH brakes to a trailer in more detail.
Reply below and let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.

Hey Melvin, how did the switch to electric-over-hydraulic disc brakes go on your travel trailer? Did the 15' brake line length work out for your setup? Your update could make it easier for others planning the same upgrade.
