Is Play on B&W Companion Slider Normal

Updated 02/19/2025 | Published 02/18/2025

Question:

Hello I installed this hitch yesterday after you all delivered it. No issues. However the part that rides on the slider rails not sure what it is called when locked has about 1/8 of an inch in play. I am certain that will translate to noise that will drive me crazy. Any way to adjust that play out of the hitch? Thank you!

Hello again Michael; the little bit of play on your B&W Companion # BWRVK3370 is normal since it is a slider and has to move. That also means some additional noise is expected. There is no way to adjust that out but, I reached out to B&W directly and they said they will send you some bushings to help dampen the noise if you give them a call.
