No need to mount a remote or run extra wiring through the cab. The Firestone Air Command Heavy Duty Air Compressor connects straight to your smartphone over Bluetooth and turns it into your air spring control hub. The app works with iPhone and Android devices and lets you raise or lower both air springs at once. With a 150 psi max output, a 30% duty cycle, and a 0.40 CFM flow rate at 100 psi, it reacts quickly and keeps up with frequent adjustments whether you’re hauling or towing.
When weight shifts to the back, this single-path setup keeps both air springs at the same pressure so the ride stays level and predictable. It’s built for frequent use and makes switching between loaded and unloaded setups simple—just tap the app to add or release air. The balance between both sides means less sway, less sag, and better control when towing or carrying heavy gear.
The electronic control unit can be mounted almost anywhere and stands up to moisture, salt spray, road chemicals, and extreme temperatures. Whether you’re driving through winter slush or summer heat, the system keeps performing without hesitation. Once set up, it quietly does its job in the background and doesn’t need constant attention.
The kit comes complete with the air line, wiring harness, and hardware needed for installation. Once mounted, the onboard compressor fills from 0–30 psi in about 14 seconds and 0–60 psi in 35 seconds, so adjustments are fast and consistent. It’s designed to pair with Firestone air springs and deliver dependable support trip after trip.

The preset option makes things so much easier, especially if you're heading out in the early morning for a trip. What kind of 5th wheel are you hauling; toy hauler, 5th wheel?

Thank you for the feedback Troy. As you have already seen, in colder climates, mounting the compressor on the frame rail can expose it to moisture and freezing conditions. Installing it in a more protected location, such as the engine compartment, is a great alternative and can help prevent winter-related issues. What are you hauling around that you needed the extra support?

Thanks for reaching out Arthur! This is a very light-duty compressor with only a 9% duty cycle, so it is normal for it to get very hot if it has to run for extended periods or repeatedly build pressure. Even a small air leak can cause the compressor to run continuously while trying to maintain pressure, which can quickly overheat the unit. The nonstop running concern points either to a remaining leak in the system, the compressor struggling to keep up or the controller not shutting the compressor off correctly when pressure is not reached. We would recommend performing a full leak test on all fittings and air lines and verifying voltage and ground quality at the compressor. The ECM memory issue is likely because the module requires constant battery power to retain settings. Please let me know if this troubleshooting does not solve the issue.
