Does B and W Companion Slider for Ford Pucks Have Clearance for Fuel Tank

Updated 05/26/2025 | Published 02/02/2025

Question:

Looking at BWRVK3370 I need to know the distance from the bolt on the front front puck to the front end of the hitch. I have an in bed fuel tank the max I can go is 8 inches. No sites give the dimensions of the slider hitch.

Hey Kenneth, from the front of the front puck to the very front of the B and W Companion Slider Hitch part # BWRVK3370 the distance is 7-1/2 inches. Would that be enough?

Jameson, Thanks for the reply! That will work. I called B&W twice and they couldn't give me the answer. Ken

@Kenneth That's odd they didn't know that. They are usually really helpful. But either way glad to help!

I have a similar situation, in that I also have a fuel tank / toolbox that takes up the first 22.5 " from the front of the bed. How far forward does the jaw handle have to swing to release the jaws? Thanks 2020 F350 CC SB

@BobC It doesn't swing out further than the base of the hitch so as long as the pucks aren't covered by the toolbox the hitch will fit and the handle wouldn't interfere.

@JamesonC Thank you for the quick reply, but after doing some measuring, I don't have the required 71/2" from the puck to the tank/ tool box, so the handle is the least of my worries.
