What SumoSprings Will Give Me the Smoothest Ride for My 2007 30 ft Winnebago RV on E450 Chassis?

Updated 11/03/2025 | Published 01/17/2025

Question:

What’s the best sumo set up for a 2007 30 ft Winnebago RV? E450 No towing, light pack without water in reservoir most trips. No generator. Solar with 2 batteries and inverter in back. Trying to soften the ride as much as I can. New bilstiens installed. Sway isn’t a serious concern currently.

Hello Gunnar,

The first time I answered I misread the question, for some reason my eyes saw that sway was a concern. For your 2007 30 ft Winnebago RV on a E450 chassis the SumoSprings are going to be your best option for the smoothest ride. Given your load the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle # SSR-107-47 would be the best fit. The yellow ones would be great if you were more worried about sway, and were carrying a heavier load. The # SSR-107-54 are rated for 2,800lbs, and the # SSR-107-47 are rated for 1,500lbs resulting in a smoother ride. They will be a great addition to the blistens that you already installed. I included a review video for you to check out.

Any fun trips planned for the year? What has been your favorite trip so far?

Hey Gunnar, how did the ride feel on your Winnebago after adding the SumoSprings to go with your Bilsteins? Your feedback could really help others looking to smooth out their E450 setup.
