Best Anti-Sway for 2006 Ford E-450 Class C Motorhome

Question:

I would like to know if I bought the right part for a 2006 E450 super duty RV 29 foot or should this Sumo Spring be stronger than 2800. I was led to believe this was the only part to fit. I was going to order air bags at 5000 rating. Will these Sumo Springs stop the rock. There is no sense spending the money if if the product will not help.

I assume what you have is a Class C motorhome, and the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-107-54 will help, but they won't stop the back-and-forth rocking completely, they will offer some support. Air bags like the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57242 will also fit and would be helpful but are not the best way to stop sway on a motorhome.

Instead, for a motorhome like yours on a 2006 Ford E-450 chassis, the best way to enhance the ride is to add an aftermarket rear anti-sway bar because they are a vast improvement over the OEM sway bars and their placement at the rear of the vehicle allows for the greatest improvement in handling. After that you can further improve the ride by adding a front anti-sway bar and steering stabilizer, in that order.

So if you want the back-and-forth sway to be abated as much as possible, I recommend the following for your 2006 Ford E-450 Class C, in this order:

- Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-147

- Roadmaster Front Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-115

I have added links to video reviews of these parts for you to check out as well.
