How Can I Transport Bikes With My New 2025 Honda Civic Sport Touring Hybrid?

Question:
Hello, I have a 2025 Honda Civic Sport Touring Hybrid. I have been looking into adding a hitch to it for a bike rack, but it appears Honda has added an extra piece of metal behind the crash bar that does not allow a trailer hitch to fit the vehicle. I have seen photos of someone who cut into their car to make a notch for the hitch to fit, but Im not big on cutting into the car and voiding warranties. I was wondering if you have any information on the challenge of fitting a hitch to this vehicle. Thank you so much for any information you can provide. Artemas Mott

Hello Artemas,
Congrats on the new ride! Both of the hitches that we offer for the 2025 Honda are not intended for the Hyrbid Model, so neither of them are going to work. I do have a different a option for you to transport your bike, just as long as your Civic is the sedan and NOT the hatchback the Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Hanging Style # TH910XT. This bike rack can carry 2 bikes, I have attached a review video for you to check out. I really hope this can work for you!

It is very disappointing to learn that the 2025 Honda civic hybrid hatchback cannot be fitted with installation of a hitch. Is there any update information on this. The potential customer above was specifically asking about this but the answer did not address this dilemma.
