There are only some minor differences between the two trailer hitch receivers for your 2022 Kia Carnival, which are the following part numbers:

- Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT34GR

- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C67ER

One of those minor differences is the install, in which the Curt has you trim and reinstall the trim panel that is underneath your Carnival, while you'll leave it off completely for the Draw-Tite. However, you do not have to reinstall the panel with the Curt if you don't want to. Leaving it off completely won't affect anything, but if you want it on, go with the Curt # C67ER.

The only other difference is that the Draw-Tite has a tab that allows you to mount a 4-way bracket, so it will be simpler to install, as you would have to get an extra bracket or drill into your bumper fascia with the Curt. So if you are going to be towing with your '22 Carnival, I do recommend the Draw-Tite # DT34GR.

For the 4-way and mounting bracket, what you will need is the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144 and Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # CU94FR.

I live in the midwest so I'd like to reinstall the panel to protect the bottom of my car as much as possible during the winters. I prefer the Draw-Tite over the Curt. I was wonder if it is possible to reinstall the panel with the Draw-Tite?

@Kevin Hello Kevin. The instructions for the Draw-Tite # DT34GR do have you permanently removing the trim panel. It might be possible to trim the panel and reinstall it, but this is not something we have tested. It should be possible but you will want to be sure you trim the panel in a way that allows the plastic rivets to go back on. If the rivet section is trimmed the panel would be loose, unless you find another way to secure it. These instructions for the Curt hitch show an example of how to trim for their hitch to fit. I imagine you would want to do something similar to the example they provide. https://assets.curtmfg.com/masterlibrary/13478/installsheet/13478_INS.pdf
