Does Saris Bones 3 EX Fit 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring

Question:

Will the Saris Bones 3 EX fit a 2024 Honda Civic hatchback sport touring model if I use the hatch huggers? If so, will I need to use the hatch huggers to replace the top and side straps?

Hey Patrick, yes the Saris Bones 3 EX trunk rack part # SA803 does fit your 2024 Honda Civic Touring. There isn't specific instructions on hatch huggers but yeah on the top and sides would work great. If nothing else just the top.

Thank you very much. After I emailed you my inquiry, I noticed on the Saris website fit guide that Saris only recommends the hatch huggers be used to replace the side strap hooks (not the top strap hooks). But I don’t see how this can be accomplished given the location and configuration of the rear lights on the 2024 Honda CR-V. Any advice regarding the placement of the hatch huggers if they are used with the side strap hooks instead of the top straps?

@Patrick Trunk rack bike rack fits are not an exact science so if you find that using the strap hooks vs. the hatch huggers isn't or is more effective you can use whichever works better. I would also assume the hatch hugger would be the way to go but maybe the top of the hatch has a nice lip that works great with the straps and that would actually be easier to deal with.
