How Much Noise Does Progressive Dynamics 2000 Watt Inverter Make

Question:

How much noise does this make when the cooling fans are operating? I plan to mount this on the ceiling of my passthrough compartment which runs under my bed and I am curious about noise and vibrations when in use.

Hi Robert; we don't have an actual decibel measurement but installing the Progressive Dynamics 2000 Watt Inverter # PD64FR on the ceiling of your passthrough won't be super loud with the fans running. If it is silent in the trailer at night you might hear the fans a little but the same will be true for any inverter. Depending on the load and the outside temperature they may not kick on at all. I have a larger inverter mounted in a similar fashion in the passthrough under the bed and never notice it.

@RobinH Thank you for checking back in. After a full camping season with the inverter installed on the dividing wall between my 5th wheel front compartment and passthrough (which is directly under our bed) I am VERY happy to report that neither vibration nor noise was ever a factor. Even though this unit has twin cooling fans, they are super-quiet, and I couldn't be more pleased with the performance of this inverter.
