Hey Jerry, thanks for reaching out. We do have the parts needed to add a 5-flat connector to your 2017 Chevy Express. What you will need to do is install a 4-flat T-Connector, then install a 5-flat upgrade kit. The 4-flat portion plugs in behind the taillights. For the 5-flat you simply have to tap in to the vehicles reverse light circuit. There are no plug-and-play 5-flat connectors for your vehicle, so this will be the most hassle-free way of adding one. Here are the parts you will need:
- T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118392
- Curt Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way Flat to 5-Way Flat - Vehicle End # C57187
Another solution would be to install a 7-way and use an adapter for the 5-flat. To do that you will install the T-connector mentioned above, then use the # ETBC7 Kit instead of the # C57187. Then you can use adapter like part # A10-7275VP to plug in the 4-flat and 5-flat. A bit more wiring is involved with this method, but then you will have a 7-way available to you if you ever need it. You will find install instructions as well as a few install videos below. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hey Jerry, how did things go adding the 5-flat connector to your Chevy Express? Were you able to get both your surge brake trailer and your 4-flat trailers working with the setup? Your update could make it easier for others working on a similar wiring setup.
