Does Vehicle Ground Get Reinstalled After Install of Curt Trailer Wiring

Question:
Why does step 1 of the directions state remove the ground wire from the battery? Isnt the ground necessary for proper function? The directions do not state if the ground wire should be replaced at the end of installation. Thank you

Hey Aaron, great question. The ground definitely should get reinstalled after the install of the Curt trailer wiring harness part # C53VV. I am not sure why they left that part off but it must have been an oversight.

...what is the danger, if any, to the settings of the car functions if the ground wire is removed?? What danger is possible if the ground wire is NOT removed during installation?? TY
