Question:

2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid. I need to add a battery charge line to maintain the battery when towing. The 12 volt battery is under the seat in the truck and there is a positive charging post under the hood. Instructions state: “ Install the circuit breaker no more than 8 inches from the dinghy vehicle’s battery. Failure to do so could result in a fire and/or property damage.” Can I use this charge line and mount under the hood near the positive charge post?

Hi Harry; you have to follow the instructions of the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 so you cannot use the post under the hood. The 12V battery under the seat or in the back is pretty common for hybrid vehicles. What you will need to do is pick up some additional wire # DW07550-1 to run to your connector at the front.

Hey Harry, how did things go running the charge line from the battery under the seat with the extra wire? Knowing how that setup worked could help others towing a Maverick Hybrid.
