Troubleshooting Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch Sliding When Unhooked With Truck Acceleration
Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 11/03/2024 >
Question:
I bought my 18k auto slider in 2018 on a 2017 ram 2500 6.7. Just recently without being hitched, when I accelerate the head unit will travel to rear of slide. Is it the bolt on front side I need to adjust?.

Hey Jeff, did adjusting the gear bolt on your 18k auto slider stop the head unit from moving when you accelerate? Your update could make it easier for the next person with the same issue.
