Question:

Hello,I recently sold my 2023 f150 and purchased a 2024 f250 but my receiver size is 2.5inch on the f250 vs 2inch on the f150 can i just buy the 2.5inch shank for my blue ox Trackpro and use it instead of buying a whole new set up.Our travel trailer weight is 5,000 lbs tounge weight is 550. Hi William; you can definitely swap out your shank with # BXW4028 which fits a 2-1/2" receiver. There is no need to completely replace your weight distribution system. Another alternative is to get a reducer like the Blue Ox Hitch Reducer Sleeve - 2-1/2" to 2" # BX88187. This will allow you to use your current 2" shank and won't reduce the capacity of the hitch. The reducer will save you some money and will also come in handy for any other 2" accessories or ball mounts you might have from your old F-150.
