Is The Curt Trailer Wiring Harness # C99DR Too Short For A 2024 Kia Sportage EX Hybrid
Updated 12/22/2025 | Published 10/23/2024 >
Question:
I am interested in your trailer wiring harness for my Kia Sportage EX hybrid however, amid numerous reports, it appears that the wires are not long enough to connect to the vehicle taillights. Has that problem been rectified? thank you

Hey David,
I spoke with Curt and they stated that they did have this issue pop up with the # C99DR and made a change to fix it. To know if you have an affected wire harness you'll want to look at the bottom of the packaging and see what the date code is. Anything prior to 2024 will have the shorter length. I checked what we currently have in stock and it looks like all 2022 so I've put in a ticket to get them all swapped out.

Hey David, were you able to check the date code on your Curt wiring harness to see if it was one of the updated versions? Knowing how the wire length worked out could help others with the same Kia Sportage setup.
