This is a very strong and well casted hinge. Welds nice to galvinized trailer. I prefer welding over a bunch of bolts.
Great product, easy to install and operate. It optimizes the space I have for both my boats. Waiting for a 8,000-10,000Lb rated one for the bigger trailer/heavier boat
This is an excellant product. I am a certified welder, and have welded 3 of these on trailers over the past several years. Every one has been satisfied with them.

Very easy to install, I bought my boat in 1990, I wish I had installed the unit 20 years ago. My 16 year old son installed it in about 30-45 minutes.

Instuctions shows to mount and weld it with the four small pinning lobes on the swing away tongue part rather then the aft trailer tongue. The safety sticker shows it's installed with the two large pinning lobes on the swing away arm. I installed mine to follow the safety sticker rather than the instructions. My hole towing load will be under 1000lbs so I wouldn't think it would matter either way due to the 4 ft swing away is rated 2600 lbs. I can't see any reason why it would change the towing load being mounted either way. Otherwise really happy with the pruduct.

The Fold-Away coupler Hinge worked great on my boat trailer. In a matter of minutes, it was welded on and now my trailer fits perfect in the garage. Ordering service was easy, fast and efficient, receiving my order within 3 business days of placing it.
Good stout looking product wish the tolerance was a little tighter for the bolt and pin it has a small amount of end play. The trailer it is going on will typically be under 3000 lbs so shouldn’t have any issues. Thank you etrailer always great doing business with you folks.
I bought the 2x3 weld on tongue hinge for my boat trailer 2 weeks ago as my boat trailer was about 6 inches too long for my garage. I ordered on Wednesday by regular shipping and received it on Friday. The service was great and the price was the best I could find.
The hinge fit the 2x3 tubing perfectly. It is very substantial and more than adequate for my boat trailer. My trailer is too long to fit in my garage and this allows me to fold the tongue so it will fit. The unit arrived on time without damage.
Perfect fit. Easy installation. Very pl eased.
Works well. Nice to be able to have the extra room around the boat when it’s stored for the winter.

I HAVE BEEN WELDING FOR FOURTY YEARS. THIS IS ONE WELL MADE ADAPTER. GOOD PRICE ALSO.
I just had the hinge installed. From what I can tell it will allow me to use a smaller garage freeing up my other larger garage. To me it's all about quality and functionally. Both appear to come with this hinge.
