Question:
I want a ladder rack that works with a topper. It’s a cheap topper and I don’t mind drilling or modifying it to help with fitment. 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500. 6’ bed. Crew cab.

Hello Pedro; we don't have an option for an actual ladder rack but you can add a roof rack to your topper. The Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack for Camper Shells # Y01-140B and # Y02-480B will both work for your 2008 Silverado 1500. These come with 63" long tracks you will drill and mount on the roof of the topper.
Both have the same 220 lb capacity so it is a matter of crossbar size and preference. The # Y01-140B has the HD bars that are 65" long. The # Y02-480B has 54" aero bars. I typically recommend the aero bars since they are compatible with more accessories like bike racks, water sport carriers, and roof boxes.

Hey Pedro, how did the roof rack setup go on your Silverado’s topper? I’m curious if the aero bars gave you the flexibility you needed for your gear. Your feedback could help others deciding between the two Rhino-Rack options.
