When you’re hauling ladders, lumber, or multiple kayaks, you need a rack that feels solid. The Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty Roof Rack uses black, square, extruded aluminum crossbars that measure 65" long x 1-5/8" wide x 1-7/8" tall and carry up to 220 lbs. The structural-grade aluminum construction gives you strength without unnecessary weight. A built-in C-channel on top lets you mount Rhino-Rack Heavy-Duty accessories and carriers, while the rubber strips cushion your gear and prevent slipping.
Different loads call for different spacing between bars. The dual C-channel RTC-style tracks in this system let you slide the Quick Mount legs to match your cargo size or accessory placement. Each track measures 63" long and mounts permanently with stainless steel hardware and an anti-corrosion coating. Once installed, the bases stay in place so you can easily remove or reposition the legs and bars whenever you need without tools.

Setting up or taking down your rack should be quick. The Quick Mount legs use an internal trigger system so you can secure or release them from the tracks without tools—just squeeze the triggers together to remove them or slide apart to lock them back in. Precision-molded inserts cover the bases when not in use, keeping out dirt and giving a finished look. Each leg locks in place with included keys so your setup stays secure when left unattended.

This system is made for camper shells, hard tonneaus, or hardtop resin roofs that can handle permanent mounting. The tracks attach with T-bolts and require some drilling, creating a strong connection that spreads weight evenly across the roof. With pivoting bases offering up to 33 degrees of adjustment, it’s easy to level your crossbars even on uneven surfaces. Once it’s all set, the black endcaps finish off the clean look while giving long-term protection.

The Heavy-Duty crossbars work with a wide range of Rhino-Rack accessories and adapters so you can haul everything from conduits to kayaks. Whether you’re loading up for a camping trip or moving jobsite gear, these bars have the slip-resistant surface and adjustability to handle it all confidently. When matched with proper attachments, they become a reliable base system for years of heavy use.

Took awhile to install, but no surprises. Is sturdy
Still haven’t installed it yet but after unpacking,I found it to be a well made rack. Install seems pretty straightforward .
I am really satisfied with the product. I has been extremely beneficial. And you got it to me in a timely manner. thanks.
When you need something you can find it at etrailer
My only complaint is that the package was delivered open on one end. but all the parts were there and it looks great on the top. looks like a great roof rack.
The rack was received in 2 days. However some of the parts were short per the material takeoff and the assembly instructions. For example, I ordered the 1600 (63 inch track) rack. This rack has 16 bolts that fasten to the camper top. However only 12 tightening knobs were supplied in the fit kit. When I notified Michelle at etrailer, she said they would notify Rhino. A few days later I received an email from Michelle telling me that I had to send her pictures of all the packages included in the box with the bar codes. Stupidist thing I ever heard of. Was like no one believed me. After taking and sending the pictures, I asked Michelle for an update. Left her voicemails and emails. She never responded back after that. After about 5 days called and spoke to Kyle. Also told him that I needed to transport some kayaks the following week. Apparently that had no affect on anyone because it took another week to finally get the knobs from Rhino on Dec 24. which would have been too late to transport the kayaks and would have cost me $250 to ship them.
Due to a complete breakdown in communications and quality customer service both from etrailer and Rhino, I went on eBay and was able to purchase a complete fitment kit for $9 so that I could finish installing my rack and avoid the shipping charges on the kayaks.
Easy enough ! I kept it towards the back . I’m putting a basket there . I’ll have easy access off the tail gate . My days of carry big beams are over !
On time. As advertised!
Very high quality set, especially for the price compared to other big brands. Relatively simple install but I did have an issue getting the turn knobs to tighten enough to completely seat the rails to the camper shell, but a few extra washers helped fix that. Wonderful that it comes with a complete kit and good instructions!
I ordered these one year ago and they have been well used on my truck. They arrived quickly and were just as described. Noah was a big help in making sure I received the right product for fitting my truck. The directions were easy to follow too. I like being able to lock them as well. Great product and great price!
I can only suspect the rhino rack will be sufficient. I am in kansas and etrailer is in missouri its been 8 days since supposedly shipped and after multiple contacts with etrailer i get no shipping info or status. only that a lable was created. horrible shipping policy and service from e trailer. I have ordered from e trailer for years but NEVER again. my recent orders all have had terrible shipping. e trailer even told me they deal with this a lot so whats that tell you? if you can find your part elsewhere in stock you better do it because e trailer is in no hurry at all to assist. they state tracking info will be sent but send none even after contacting them. they wont even investagate or refund for 14 days after the order! so when you send over 500 dollars to them they accept that and then sit on any help for 14 days via already having your hard earned money. terrible policy. its sad etrailer is going downhill like so many others. only amazon and other protected buyer places for me from now on.
etrailer shipped everything as ordered and quickly. Their support team let me know that the order was handled throughout the process and their follow up was terrific. The installation went smoothly and looks fantastic. Everything needed was provided. The only part I would like to see changed is the length of the rail mounting bolts. I had to use nylock's and flat washers under my canopy lid to the design of my Gaylord. If the bolts were a 1/4" longer the supplied hardware could have been used. I will be using it to carry longer ladders and will be adding a basket in the future for additional storage when needed. It looks great and the will work great.
Lousy installation instructions. Way to many pieces. Really need two people to install.

Havent been using truck as not going camping due to covid. Have used rack couple of times for shelving or lumber.thsts all
This roof rack was exactly what I needed. We bought a couple of kayaks and I was tired of throwing them in the bed of my truck and taking up all of the space. I attached the rack to my hard tonneau cover and now I can bring the kayaks and still have room for all of my gear. Lining up the rails was a little challenging during the install, but if you take your time it turns out great. Definitely recommend this product.
Well built product with fast shipping and fairly clear install instructions (which seems to be rare these days). The 65" bars are perfect for my GMC Savana work van.
I found that the actual square bars are just a bit too big-around for most of my roof accessories to securely clamp on to. I've got a Thule Force XT L, and a Yakima SlimShady Awning. Neither of them can securely clamp around this size of the square bars. This is no fault of of the Rhino-Rack product, it is my fault for not doing enough research. Just be warned to thoroughly research if you have intentions of mounting accessories to the bars.
Good quality and heavy duty. The instructions were NOT accurate, they described parts and pieces from some different product. Similarly the butyl seals included were all smashed together and could not be separated. 3M 4200 was a good workaround. All came together are some cannoodling, trial and error.

Once installed the rack was great. Easy to attach or remove the crossbars, trim appearance and little wind noise, Id buy another without hesitation.
Started off with a few missing parts but was able to get it sorted out. The bars are great except for the whistling. As soon as I get above 30 mph the bars create a loud whistling sound. Other than that I have used them with no problems.
The rack is what you would expect from today’s standard. The track bolts will slip and spin when tightening down if you are not careful.
Great product and outstanding customer service. I’ve ordered a few things from etrailer and it’s always a great experience.
Product is fantastic, however it was missing the security allen key, so I had to find a local hardware store that carried them. Thankfully, one did.
I ended up having to buy the roof rails that are riveted in, instead of the ones included in this package. The price was about the same as buying everything a la carte, except I have an extra set of rails if I want to use them in the future.
Very well built, definitely beefier than similar Yakima or Thule products.
Kit came complete, easy to install, and has held up great. Great for attaching luggage boxes or roof racks to the bars. Fully adjustable lengths along the rail. Installed on 2015 ram with canopy on back. Primarily use the rack as extra storage for luggage for the family. Would definitely buy again
Easy install. Instructions were clear and pictures were helpful. Install time by myself was 3 hours without beer. Well built racks. If it’s going on a truck topper I recommend to remove the top. I couldn’t imagine installing this well it was on the bed of the truck. Box was really damaged in shipping but all the parts were there with no scratches, that’s a win. Slight whistle at 30-40 mph but nothing after that. ‘08 Tundra with Snug Top Shell.
Service team at etrailer.com is great to work with. Had some issues but all got quickly resolved. Once all parts were delivered the installation went well. I cut the tracks to install on my DB - gives me flexibility for bed access and future storage capability. Also added additional HD cross bars.
Let's start with the site. I ordeed this product on Tuesday morning got it Thursday evening. Nice!!
Now the rack it self, its strong, feels strong looks strong. Crossover bars lock and are adjustable. Cone nuts from lowes work for additional mounting of items. Atm i have mine mounted holding my soft rtt and full awning tht doubles as campiste room holds it all absolute no issues
