Hey Tim,
By far the best option for a ball mount that won't rust on you is from Weigh Safe, with their 180 ball mounts. Reason for that is what they're made of, which is aircraft-grade aluminum. Oh, and the 2" and 2-5/16" hitch balls it comes with? Those are stainless steel so you're getting a ball mount that will be free of rust and corrosion to last as long as you need. The right one for you will depend on if you have a 2" or 2-1/2" hitch:
- 2" Trailer Hitch: 180 Hitch 6" Drop Hitch # WS64MR
- 2-1/2" Trailer Hitch: 180 Hitch 6" Drop Hitch # WS82CR
The # WS64MR has a 12,500 lb towing capacity with it's 2-5/16" hitch ball while the # WS82CR has an 18,500 lb towing capacity with it's 2-5/16" ball (the 2" ball has a 10,000 lb towing capacity for each).
