The 180 hitch has a chrome-plated double-sided tow ball, so switching sizes is a breeze. Tow up to 8,000 lbs with the 2" ball or up to 18,500 lbs with the 2-5/16" ball. Flip the platform out of the way when not in use and save your shins.

Towing trailers with different coupler sizes just got easier thanks to the 180 Hitch 2-ball mount. This ball mount features a chrome plated 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball on opposite ends of the ball mount platform. Switching to the opposite ball is fast and easy - pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank and simply flip over the platform, so that either the 2" or 2-5/16" hitch ball is on top. Slide it back up along the shank to the desired height and reinsert the dual pins, hitch up, and go! Because both balls are contained on the platform, you won't have to keep track of separate balls that must be completely removed and installed each time you need to switch trailers.
This ball mount's convenient stowable design keeps the ball mount platform out of your way when you're not towing. To stow the ball mount platform, simply pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank. Place the ball mount platform on the backside of the shank facing your vehicle. Reinsert the dual pins to attach the platform to the shank. The 180 Hitch can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your application.

Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our weight safe 180 hitch with an 8" drop for a 2-1/2" by 2-1/2" shank with nice chrome plated balls. So folks, this is gonna give you a nice connection point to hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle and be able to use multiple height trailer couplers with multiple height options here and different sized balls. Now the ball, as you know, provides the connection point for that trailer coupler. You got a 2" ball here rated at 8,000 pounds gross towing weight, or a 2-5/16" ball at 18,500 pounds. Now folks, this is a very nice, elegant, it's all aluminum build it aluminum 6061-T60 precise.
It's gonna give you superior strength. It's super light weight. And, again, the balls are hardened steel with a chrome plating over the top. So very strong. Either way, you're have to worry about rust or corrosion anytime soon.
Now when I got here, I wanted to give you some quick dimensions. From the center of the ball to the center of the pinholes, when I do the closest one, I got right at 8-1/2". And then when I did the farthest one, I got 9-5/8". And from the center of the hitch pinhole back to the back of the shank, I got 3" on the first one and on the farthest one back I got 1-7/8". Now this particular unit can do 8" of drop or 9" of rise.
You got 1" increments on here. You can simply flip it over to using the rise of the drop. But let's say you needed to use this drop, but you want a 2-5/16" ball. Well, pretty simply pull off the dust cover here. It protects that locking mechanism.
You got a set of tube keys, they're very hard to pick, and you simply insert that into the lock, unlock it, pull the dual locking pin out, simply slide the ball off, flip it over 180 degrees and you're right back in place. Now because I flipped it over, the locking pin is gonna be on my side now closest to me. So let's go ahead and get that lined up. And just like that, about 10, 15 seconds, I'm locked up, I'm ready to go with the other ball size, couldn't be much simpler, right So, again, you're gonna get this lockable. There is no hitch pin included. Most likely you already have one, but if you don't, I recommend a locking hitch pin. You can get them here etrailer.com sold separately. And that's a 5/8" hole that that pin is going through. Well folks, I think that we'll wrap it up for our quick look today. This has been the weight safe 180 hitch with chrome plated of balls and an 8" drop for a 2-1/2" by 2-1/2" shank. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching and stay safe while you're towing.
