Both balls are always with you on the same mount, so there’s nothing to track or misplace when it’s time to hitch up.

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and today we're taking a look at the Weigh Safe Aluminum Adjustable Ball Mount, rated for 12,500 pounds with a six inch drop and seven inch rise. Basically, what this is gonna do for you, this is gonna work for that person that has assortment of different types of trailers they're pulling, or trailers or campers. And this is gonna give you that adjustability to get to that flat ride, as far as where your coupler is gonna meet your ball mount. So let's take a closer look at our ball mount and see what's special about it. What makes this special is the fact that you can actually flip this over 180 degrees, just like the name suggests. Switching from your two inch ball to your two and five 16ths.
You actually have a lockable pin that's gonna allow you to secure your ball mount into position. Now materials are T6 6061 billet aluminum. So that is rust proof, and it's gonna give you a long life of service on the back of your truck. 'Cause basically, this is gonna be a life of abuse for a ball mount. As far as your capacities, you have a two on five 16ths ball that's chrome that's rated for 12,500 pounds.
Your two inch ball is rated for 8,000 pounds, and your overall tongue weight is right at 1,500. You can make adjustments as far as with the holes for your drop in one inch increments. So if you have it in the six inch drop or the seven inch rise, it's gonna work however you need it to. Out of the box, you're gonna receive a lock for the ball mount, but you don't get a lock core pin for your receiver. So it wouldn't be a bad idea to add on one of these etrailer hitch ball mount locks and it'll help you keep your ball mount secured.
As far as your pinhole positioning to the center of your ball mount, your closest hole is eight and three quarter inches. The shank itself is solid, like again, it's solid T6 billet aluminum. And that's gonna be very sturdy, and mostly what you're picking up is gonna be the fact that it's really lightweight compared to a steel hitch in the same capability. So it's gonna make it easier for you to handle, but you're not sacrificing any strength. So now we're gonna put it in the rise position.
And we'll just take a look and see if we're gonna make contact with our tailgate. In most cases, you're not gonna have any issues in the rise position, as far as having your ball mount to the lowest, but that will vary from vehicle to vehicle. I have a F-150 here that we're using for our demonstration, so it'll just give you an idea as far as what it looks like with your tailgate. Now Weigh Safe does a really good job of using solid materials that are gonna hold up for you, as it puts up with the life of abuse as being a towing accessory. In general, Weigh Safe is gonna give you quality products across the board. They're one of the brands I like a lot. They're made here in the US so that's helpful as well for all of us. Been looking for a while on a new hitch and finally pulled the trigger. Etrailer made it fast and easy to get the hitch I wanted at a fair price.
After 3 months one of the trailer chains bonds against the hitch while taking a shape turn and bent the key to flip the receiver ball. So we are basically stuck with a 2 5/16 receiver since it cannot be opened and flipped. Aluminum is nice but weak at the same time.
Fast shipping as always! While I haven't had the chance to use this hitch yet, it looks like a high-quality product straight out of the box. I plan to test it this weekend and will update this review if I remember after putting it to use.
Very solid and beautifully finished. Fits well on my 2016 Ram 2500 4x4, with the newer 2-1/2" receiver, allowing the exact height necessary to level my toy hauler. Ball mount is packaged in foam to ensure it is pristine when it arrives.
Got the locking dual pin for it, as well as the BOLT locks for hitch and coupler, so none of this pretty stuff walks away. Very happy with the whole setup.

Great product. Craftsmanship is top notch.
Easy to use and very sturdy built. My only complaint is the standard coated Balls rusted pretty quickly and look bad. I Should have went with the upgraded stainless steel. Also the salt from 1 winter has left some corrosion on the aluminum of the hitch and the sticker fell off. None of these things affect the function, but i wish it would have stayed looking as nice as it did when it was new.
very nice product ( should be for the price ) and very versatile. allowed me to adjust the tongue height on my new trailer in one inch drop increments until I was almost perfectly level with suspension sag. does rattle slightly and I would also recommend the matching keyed locking pin so it does not walk off. Elijah was very helpful when ordering.
Good product feels very sturdy. My only critique is that it has too much play causing a lot of rattling. The manufacturer should have a tightening bolt so that after installation the two components tighten up and there’s no play.
