Converter for Separating Brake and Turn Signals

I have a 6500 gmc truck. It has brake and turn light on same wire, on each side. I want to install new lights with separate turn and brake light separate wire for each. Can I use a 4 to 3 wire adapter in reverse?

Hello Bill; the converter you're referencing won't work that way. What you need is the Curt 2 to 3 Wire Tail Light Converter # C56196. This is specifically designed to separate the combined turn and brake signals.

@BF unfortunately it is not and we do not offer one that is right now. It looks like we did have a customer in the reviews use a voltage regulator to make it LED compatible but that is a little more outside of the standard installation.

We have a coiled 7-way to 5-way like with the part #C57271 for a 60 inch long setup. We don't have a 5-way to 5-way though so you'd have to cut off the 7-way and wire in a new 5-way like with the #HM47910.
