Replacement Lower Section for Parallex 8355 that is Lithium Compatible

Question:

Hello, we have a Parallex 8355 in our travel trailer, and like Peter H above we are planning to switch to lithium-ion batteries. So we need to upgrade the converter. Above you recommended the PD4655V as a compatible converter upgrade for lithium-ion batteries. This looked like a good option, and we were getting ready to purchase it. But digging deeper it appears the PD4655V only has a single-stage 14.4V charging profile for li-ion batteries. Can you recommend an alternative replacement converter with a multi-stage li-ion charge profile? Hopefully one that “plays nicely” with our existing Parallax 8355. Thank you for your time.

Hey JP, the only option we have is the part # PD4655V that you referenced. This does have a single stage lithium battery charger which is all that lithium batteries require. This does replace the lower section of your 8355 so it does play nicely.
