Replacing a DC Convertor as Part of AC Panel on RV

Published 03/14/2019

Question:

i want to point out an issue i feel with your website. The progressive dynamics website points out a direct replacement for my unit WFCO™ #8955 - PD4655V is the progressive dynamics unit. I searched your website and found it in a different location. I feel it should have been located with the other convertors so it shows up as an available replacement option. This is just a recommendation. If i hadn't kept looking i would have never found a direct bolt in unit and would have cut up and used a unit that may have worked but wasn't a direct replacement. Thanks for your response though!!

The Progressive Dynamics PD9200 Series Inteli-Power Converter - 12 Volts - 45 Amps # PD9245C is 8-1/4" long x 7-1/4" wide x 4-11/16" deep. If this fits in the slot you are referring to in the bottom of the power panel then you will be all set. You can cut the plug off the end and hardwire it as you stated, but that will void the warranty because you will be altering the manufactured product.

The Replacement Section for AC to DC Power Converters - 55 Amp # PD4655V is a direct replacement for your WFCO 8955 as you stated. I agree that our site should have routed you to those options as well, so I will pass that along to our developers so we can assist future customers as recommended.
