my enclosed cargo trailer weighs 5000 pounds loaded what size power jack is required would one for 3500 pound be big enough empty weight of trailer is 3100 pond

Hello Wayne. A 3,500 lb jack is going to be more than enough for your 5,000 lb trailer. The 3,500 lb rating is for the tongue weight of the trailer and not the total weight of the trailer. Your tongue weight should be more like 500-700 lbs max so you will be well within capacity for a 3,500 lb jack like the Ultra-Fab Electric A-Frame Jack # UF38-944017, which is a great choice for an A-frame jack.
