What Size Wet Bolts Come with MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit # MR46ZR
Updated 03/09/2026 | Published 02/28/2026 >
Question:
I bought a MORryde tandem axel wet bolt kit about a year ago. Just got around to trying to install them. My question is the original shackel bolts appear to be 1/2 inch where as the MORryde bolts are larger. Fpr a test tried to screw on the MORryde nut on the original bolt while still installed and it fits right over the bolt. Is this a true replacement or is there a different kit? Thanks, JB

Hey John, it looks like in 2024 you bought the MORryde shackle kit part # MR46ZR which includes new wet bolts that are the standard diameter of 9/16 inch. It would be extremely rare for your setup to require a 1/2 inch diameter spring bolt but crazier things have happened. Do you have a digital caliper that you could use to measure the diameter of your current bolts?

Oh man where do I start. This kit is awesome! It's a lot more well-built than the OME parts. It totally removed all the noise and squeaking that my trailer was making from the suspension. Every time I tow my cargo trailer, and I pull up to a customer's house it's so quiet. My trailer used to be so noisy that it was embarrassing, and it was like that from day one and I purchased it brand new. Just be sure to grease all of the fittings once you have everything installed. Also, the people at e-tailer were great at answering my questions and support.

I bought my kit a year ago. No issues with my install. What equalizer are you using? Or are you on the other end just going through the eye?

Our kit installed with no bolt measurement issues. We have had no issues with them, or greasing them, over a year later.

John, The wet boots that came with the kit fit perfectly where my existing bolts were. No wiggle room.
