Question:
I have a 2019 Audi q7 3.0t. Will have a tandem axle trailer with electric brakes but need a brake controller in the vehicle for them to operate. My f250 has a brake controller so just want to make sure the trailer will function between both vehicles. Let me know. Thank you.

Hello Lonnie. We do offer a wiring harness and brake controller that will work on your 2019 Audo Q7. I am assuming your Audi currently has no trailer connector of any kind, and if this is not the case just let me know.
There are two wiring kits you will need first. The Tekonsha ZCI harness # 119250KIT, and the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. These two kits combines contain everything you need to wire your vehicle with both a 4-flat and 7-way, including all of the necessary wires for a brake controller.
I am not sure if you have a preference for the brake controller, but what I recommend is the Tekonsha P3 # 90195 since it is our most time-tested, durable and user-friendly controller.
I have included links to a few install videos that you may find helpful. Feel free to reach out if we have any other questions.

I have a 2 inch hitch from factory with factory 7 pole plug. As far as I know though the car is not equipped with a brake controller. However, I did just recently buy a used wireless brake controller. The one that plugs into your 12v socket. The tekonsha prodigy rf controller. So in this case, all that I really need is a break away kit correct? This is all new to me. I also bought used good tandem axles with brakes. So now I just need to get those wired up into the trailer and make it function as it should. Thank you ahead of time for the help.
