I currently have trailer brakes part 023-026-00, would this be the same as the dexter 23-26?

Hi Ken; it looks like you already figured it out, but the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Assembly # 23-26 is the same as your 023-026-00. The # 23-27 is the corresponding brake assembly for the right hand side. If you want to upgrade to self-adjusting you can also use the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brakes # 23-468-469
