Replacement Brake And Hub/Drum Assemblies For A Dexter 5957430 Trailer Axle

Question:

I have a Dexter 5957430 trailer axle. The current brake drums are 12x2 6 bolt on 5 1/2 in. I’m looking to replace brake drums and electric brake assembly. What parts do you recommend?

Dexter axle serial number is: 613546220

@TomS Thanks for the serial number. It looks like you have a 5,000lb capacity axle that uses Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-201-5 and self-adjusting electric brake assemblies # 23-458-459. If you need to replace the bearings and grease seal then you'll want bearing kit # BK3-300 for each assembly.
